On 14 July 2026, American Eye Center Vietnam, in collaboration with U.S. Consulate General Ho Chi Minh City, held the Health Talk titled “Vision Care Protocol for U.S. Consulate General Ho Chi Minh City.”
The program was organized to support proactive vision care awareness in the modern workplace, where screen use, document reading, and sustained visual focus over extended periods have become familiar parts of everyday work.

The program was presented by Dr. Kelvin Wong – Medical Director, American Eye Center Vietnam, with key topics including:
- Myopia and myopia progression control in children
- Digital eye strain / Computer Vision Syndrome
- Accommodative stress and screen posture
- The 20-20-20 rule when using digital devices
- Presbyopia in middle age
- Vision care options that should be assessed by a doctor based on each individual’s eye condition

In addition, the program also covered presbyopia in middle age and vision care options such as prescription glasses, contact lenses, Ortho-K, Femto-LASIK, and PRELEX. These options should be assessed by an ophthalmologist based on each individual’s eye condition, usage needs, and appropriate clinical indications.

The Q&A session also featured practical questions from participants, which Dr. Kelvin Wong addressed in detail, helping make the topics of vision care more accessible and applicable to everyday workplace routines.
